April 6th - Fireplace and Primed Walls

Our Project Manager let us in on Friday to visit the latest developments on our home. It's really starting to take shape. They just built the fireplace earlier in the day. Also, now that the drywall is all up, they've primed the walls and finished the siding. Here are more picz and vidz:

April 1st - More Picz

Beck went out to the site today to see the new changes...and of course, the house looks even more complete than it did when I went out there a few days back. Here are the picz:

March 30th - Drywall up

Well, I started feeling a little nervous about our last visit. I started thinking that we didn't pay enough attention to all the cable, network and phone outlets during our pre-drywall meeting. During the pre-drywall meeting, there were piles of drywall leaning up against the walls where the outlets should have been. So, rather than leaving it to faith, I took another trip out there to give myself peace of mind. Everything seemed to be in the right place except for one spot. In the Sitting Room, I noticed that there were only two outlets (electrical and cable), but was missing our Network Outlet...to add to my confusion, during the Pre-Drywall all three outlets were there. Proving that I'm not crazy, I took a video of the three outlets... Now compare it to this Two-outlet video (and notice my confusion when taking the video.)

Well, I called our Project Manager and he said that it must have gotten buried under the drywall and they'd take care of it. He was just glad that the area was wired correctly. I can imagine...I'd hate to lose a week's worth of work and have to rip up the drywall. Anyways, he said they'd take care of it...apparently it wasn't a big deal, and he said those types of things would normally be caught before our pre-settlement meeting.

I guess that was my good house deed for the day. I don't know much about building materials or structure, but I do know my geek stuff.

Anyways, I took new videos post-drywall...as well as some pictures. Enjoy!
