April 28th - Carpet, Painting, Cleaning - Two weeks 'til Pre-settlement meeting

Our pre-settlement meeting is only 2 weeks away...but they've done quite a few things in the place. Last week they added the countertops. This past week, they added the carpets. We picked two shades of carpet...one was a lighter cream colored carpet (fresco cream?) and the other was a darker color. Well, looking at them now, they look both light. ohwell...lesson learned.

Let's see...they also painted the walls completely Ryan Homes white. Again, they didn't really give us a choice in colors. Before we move, we're looking into getting at least a few of the walls painted. Especially since it'll be pretty difficult to do so after getting al lthe appliances and furniture in the place.

Another thing that Ryan did was to go through and have the house completely cleaned. I think they do this at least 2-3 times before the final release. Other than a few small problems, the place is actually looking pretty good...

I'm pretty happy with the choices...let's see if you agree:

April 21st - Basement

Ok, well, we took a visit out to the house today. They actually added the countertops and we were very pleased with the outcome. Unfortunately, you won't get a good look at it just yet. The electricity wasn't yet turned on throughout the house so I wasn't able to get any good videos. (I suppose it would have made sense to take pictures...)

The one place that was still lit was the basement...Not overly exciting, but it'll give a decent view of what it looks like:

April 14th - Kitchen Cabinets, Railings and Doors!

Made another visit out there... The big chnage this time were the recently added kitchen cabinets. We don't have any countertops yet, so I'm not sure how well our creative decisions paid off, but the cabinets looks pretty sweet. They've also added doors and railings.
